Anyone There

safety standards

our commitment to safety

Anyone There is designed to be a safe, anonymous way to chat with people nearby. We take user safety — especially the safety of minors — seriously. This page describes the standards and practices we follow.

no personal information required

Anyone There does not require or collect any personally identifiable information. No name, email, phone number, or account creation is needed to use the app. Each user is identified only by a random UUID generated on their device.

no persistent profiles

There are no user accounts. Your identity exists only on your device. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. The server holds no persistent profile information.

ephemeral messaging

Chat messages are stored in server memory only for the duration of an active session (up to 24 hours) and are then permanently discarded. Messages are never written to disk on the server or on your device. There is no message history to search, export, or leak.

location privacy

Your exact coordinates are never shown to other users. Other people only see a vague distance hint (e.g. "nearby" or "far away"). Location is only accessed while the app is in the foreground and is never stored on disk. Coordinates are removed from server memory within 60 seconds of disconnecting.

no direct messaging outside the app

Anyone There does not provide any mechanism to share phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles, or other contact information through the platform. Communication is limited to in-app chat with nearby users only.

content moderation

Anyone There is an anonymous, ephemeral chat service. Messages are short-lived and not indexed or searchable. We do not host user-generated content beyond temporary chat messages and optional nicknames/bios.

The app includes built-in tools to report and block other users (see blocking and reporting below). When a user is reported by several different people, they are automatically hidden from everyone nearby.

If you encounter abusive or harmful behaviour, report it immediately to apptakk@gmail.com. Because users are identified by a random UUID tied to their device, we can investigate reports using server logs while the session is still active.

child safety

Anyone There does not knowingly target or solicit minors. The app does not collect personal data, create persistent profiles, or enable contact sharing — design choices that reduce risk for all users, including younger ones.

We comply with applicable child safety and privacy regulations. If you believe a minor has been exposed to harmful content or behaviour on Anyone There, please contact us immediately at apptakk@gmail.com.

blocking and reporting

Anyone There lets you block or report any user directly from the chat screen. Open a conversation and use the menu to:

Because Anyone There is anonymous and session-based, there are no friend lists, follow systems, or persistent connections between users. If you feel unsafe, you can also:

no third-party tracking

The mobile apps contain no analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs. No third-party code runs inside the app. Your data is never sold or shared with any third party.
